Beginning now through July 17, the Gulfport School District Child Nutrition Department will provide free breakfast and lunch for children 18 and under (and 21 and under for students with disabilities) at select school locations across the district.

No registration is required. Adult lunches are available for $3.75.

Students, faculty, and staff, plus three (3) guests, can enjoy FREE admission while exploring hands-on exhibits, interactive train layouts, and special S.T.E.M. activities throughout the museum.

5th grade enjoyed being coastal tourists for their end of year field trip! They participated in The ultimate Hwy 90 Coastal Scavenger Hunt. Students kept their eyes glued to the window looking for some famous coastal landmarks. We found: a white sandy beach, shrimp boats, The Biloxi Lighthouse, the Beauvior, the crooked Feather, a giant shark mouth, the ship island ferry, and a hurricane Katrina memorial. We also got a pleasant surprise and were able to cheer on some Jeeping the Coast riders! We loved the duckies!! This year we worked on coastal erosions and were able to locate barriers that help keep our MS coastline safe and secure from hurricanes. To say we have a deeper appreciation for our wonderful MS Gulf Coast is an understatement!

Fifth graders from our elementary schools toured Gulfport Central Middle School today as they prepare for the next step in their educational journey. Students explored campus, met staff, and got a firsthand look at middle school life ahead of the new school year in July! 💙🧡

Employees were recognized for every five-year milestone reached in the district, honoring their dedication and service to our students, schools, and community. The afternoon was filled with smiles, laughter, special memories, and plenty of hugs to go around.

Last week at 28th Street Elementary School, students in Mrs. Jones and Ms. Baker’s first-grade class learned about the history of Cinco de Mayo. They explored the topic through a nonfiction story and celebrated with a festive nacho treat! 🇲🇽🫔 Learning comes to life when lessons are both educational and fun!
